We provide technology, organization and resources to support 176,995 subsistence farmers in India, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in planting over 22,000,000 living trees and reverse the effects of deforestation, drought and famine.
TIST Program participants include women and young people, many without land ownership, who have grown more than 22 million trees through their efforts and ingenuity.
The men and women in TIST Small Groups are starting nurseries, planting trees, raising bees, making compost and adopting improved agriculture practices for a larger harvest.
TIST Farmers learn about HIV/AIDS, malaria, nutrition and construction of fuel-efficient cook stoves that protect women and children from breathing harmful smoke.
